Shipping/Receiving Print

Shipping methods are determined on a per-case basis depending on destination and other factors. Carriers include: UPS, FedEx, or private courier.  In some instances products will be shipped directly to you from the manufacturer.

Before Signing

Please examine the package for external damage upon arrival, and note ANY visible damage on the delivery receipt.  If the damage is not noted then it didn't happen.  Please contact your CI representative immediately for further instructions.

When accepting shipment of your order, it is very important that you follow the instructions below BEFORE you sign. These are actually good practices for receiving shipments from anyone.

  1. Take some time to completely examine the container, box, or crate, for any obvious damage. This includes any holes, shoddy repair attempts, or any indication that the container has had a strong impact anywhere. Note any damage you may see.
  2. If there is no damage open and briefly inspect the contents of the container and if the product appears undamaged write EXACTLY the following words directly on the delivery receipt: "One crate received - contents not fully inspected". Then sign the delivery receipt where appropriate, and retain a copy for yourself. If there is ANY damage, continue to step 4.
  3. If there is damage to the container, inspect the contents of the container carefully. If the product appears undamaged write EXACTLY the following words directly on the delivery receipt: "One crate received - contents not fully inspected". Then sign delivery receipt where appropriate, and retain a copy for yourself. If there is any damage continue to step 4.
  4. If you discover that your product is damaged please call Cherry Instruments immediately at 800-852-0955 and do not sign for the package. We will help you determine the next steps in resolving the situation
Remember that, upon signing, you take responsibility for the delivery "as is", this includes any damage to the product.

After You Have Signed

You have two business days to unpack the product and carefully inspect it for hidden damage. Most freight carriers will not honor hidden damage claims after 48 to 72 hours from delivery, no matter how you signed for it.
